Event Promotion: Using FOMO to Drive Ticket Sales

The Challenge

At Eva’s Village, a social services and behavioral health nonprofit, special events are more than just a good time, they’re mission-critical, fueling about one-third of the organization’s non-governmental funding. In 2024, the Behind the Seams Fashion Show wasn’t just another date on the calendar—it was a high-stakes finale to the fiscal year with an ambitious goal: raise $190,000 in a crowded season packed with nonprofit events.

With donor attention spread thin, Behind the Seams needed to rise above the noise, grab the spotlight, and sell tickets fast. Every seat filled meant more energy in the room—and more donations on the night of the event.

The Approach

This wasn’t your typical charity gala. Behind the Seams is pure magic: gourmet food, playful cocktails, and a dazzling runway of amateur (and wildly entertaining) models; it’s got heart, glam, and a whole lot of personality.

We knew the promotional campaign had to reflect the spirit of the show. It had to pop, sparkle, and say, “This is the event everyone will be talking about.”

The Solution

We created a bold, high-energy campaign that brought the fun front and center. From scroll-stopping social media reels to custom emails packed with personality, every touchpoint radiated the infectious excitement of the event.

We didn’t just promote a fashion show; we built anticipation, inspired FOMO, and turned followers into ticket holders.

The Outcome

100 more tickets sold than the previous year.
$300,000+ raised—shattering the original goal by a whopping 57%.
A packed house, a powerful night, and an incredible win for the mission of Eva’s Village.
